Flying Remote Control Aircraft
Start a hobby that you can enjoy for a long time. Learn how to fly a remote control (R/C) airplane or helicopter, or hone your existing flying skills with indoor flying. Learn terminology, the basics of R/C, and practice on a flight simulator. This class is for indoor flying. Only slow-flying electric powered airplanes or helicopters are allowed. You provide your own flying equipment. Help will be provided for picking out the equipment that best fits you and your budget if you do not already have it. Help will also be provided to set up and learn to fly your aircraft. All participants planning on flying need an AMA Membership: www.modelaircraft.org (Adult park flier membership cost $30, student membership is now free). Minimum of 5 participants for the class, which will run most first-third Sundays of each month from 1-4 pm, Nov. 5th - March 3rd in the High School Gym.

Cougar Hoops- Saturday
Boys/Girls Basketball
Girls and boys in grades 2-6 are invited to start basketball practices on Saturday, Nov. 11th, from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
A detailed schedule will be handed out the first practice. Games will be set up during the season as made available. Parents will be responsible to transport their child to any games and practice.
Cost for gr. 2-3 is $20 per player. Grades 4-6 fee is $30 per player. Checks should be made out to MC School and turned into the office by Nov. 11th.
Even if you play C Team or in League Basketball, you can still participate in Saturday Elementary Basketball. Jerseys can be ordered for you. Contact Heather at the school for more information. 507-493-5422 option 1.
FCLMC Youth Wrestling
Parent Meeting: November 13th at 6pm for grades 3-6th, and 6:45 for grades K-2nd in the Fillmore Central High School Cafeteria. We will have forms available at the parent meeting.
First practice: Monday, November 20th. We will also have pictures during this practice (forms will be available). We will be starting at 5:45 with the younger group and 6:15 with the older group.
Practices during season: held at the FC High School Wrestling Room in Harmony on Monday and Thursday nights.

7:00 pm to 8:00 pm Grades 3 – 6
This year’s program will be organized by Jason Hovey and Caleb Fischer, along with coaches Joel Thomas and Troy Knox. We continue to be in need of more volunteers that are interested in helping with coaching and also with various duties for the program, including the youth tournament. Parents of wrestlers will be required to assist with the youth tournaments as needed this year. Please look for more details during the season.

Babysitting Clinic
Come learn everything you need to know about babysitting! This course is open to anyone in grades 5-6.
Participants are asked to bring a stuffed animal or doll to practice with.

Making Macramé

You bring your own string of choice and a beverage. Light snacks will be provided.
Enjoy some crafting time making a beautiful Macramé project with the newest tips and tricks. Tammy will teach basic knots in a wall hanging that you bring home that day!

Seasoned Driver Training: Original & Refresher classes
Improve your driving skills, and if you are 55 or older, get a discount on your personal auto insurance. The Defensive Driving Course teaches basic crash prevention techniques and has a proven record of reducing traffic violations and incidents. It's taught by experienced, professional traffic safety instructors, including current and former law enforcement. The class consists of lecture, films and discussions. There is no behind-the-wheel driving and there are no tests.
According to Minnesota state law, people age 55 and older who complete a state-approved receive a 10 percent, three-year discount on auto insurance. This includes in-person classroom, online training, and live virtual Zoom classes. Contact your insurance agent for details. After you complete the course, you will receive a certificate of completion to give to your insurance company.
If you have successfully completed a state-approved 8-hour defensive driving course you are eligible to take a 4-hour defensive driving course to renew your insurance certificate.

Original Course: January 23rd-24th

Refresher Course: February 8th
9 am – 1 pm $30 per person
