Hot Lunch Policy

Lunch Policy

Every day our cooks prepare a nutritious breakfast and lunch for the students.  Participation in either program is voluntary.  On days that school starts 2 hours late, breakfast will not be offered, on one hour late starts, breakfast will be offered.

FOOD SERVICE (Hot Lunch) PAYMENT POLICY

Each student is assigned an account number when enrolled in school.  Each student should state their number when making a deposit or going through the meal line.  Please deposit enough for a week or more of meals at a time to eliminate daily deposits.  Deposits should be made in the school office prior to 10:00am to make sure your account reflects the deposit before the lunch period.

Overdue account notices are sent home either by email or paper notice on Monday and Thursday of each week.

Account balance statements are sent home on Mondays and Thursdays by email or paper notice, starting when the lunch account has a positive balance of $6.00 to ensure you have time to make a deposit before the account goes to a negative balance.  Students are also responsible to monitor their lunch balances.  They are posted daily.  Lunch balances are also available online for you to monitor with our parent Access Feature (please contact the office to assists you in setting up an account). Parents are asked to mark their calendars so they know when their students will need hot lunch money; please monitor the lunch balances to assure timely deposits are made.   Parents are encouraged to fill out the application form for Free and Reduced Lunch, application forms may be found in the “Back to School” Fall Newsletter or picked up at and returned to either office, at any time. Please take the time to fill these out even if you think you may not qualify.

Negative balances of more than $30.00, will be turned over to the superintendent or superintendent’s designee for collection. Collection options may include, but are not limited to, use of collection agencies, claims in the conciliation court, or any other legal method permitted by law.

If you are not wanting your child to take single items or doubles please have that conversation with them.

Also, if your child/children have a negative lunch balance please make payments as soon as possible.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your time.
