GREAT JOB!!!  WooHoo!

Using the ClassDojo app, students will earn points whenever they are noticed following the Cougar Code: classroom rules. They may also lose points if their behavior is negative.  This information gets texted directly to parents, right when it happens, so it's a wonderful communication tool for the classroom and keeps parents "in the loop," which parents usually appreciate.  During parent/teacher conferences, this information is used to communicate strengths and weaknesses.

The elementary school also uses "cougar paws" to reward children for following the Cougar Code   A prize is given out each Friday to the child drawn from the weekly class's "cougar code bucket!"

Here is Mabel-Canton's Cougar Code:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
Be a Community

However, the most important rule in our classroom is the Golden Rule, as it encapsulates all 4 of the the above rules perfectly...so it is mentioned frequently in our classroom:  "Treat others how you want to be treated."
