It's going to be another great year at Mabel Canton!

Wow, what a busy, busy year it's going to be! This year I will again be teaching first grade!

Here's a little background information about me. I have been teaching at Mabel Canton for 25 years now. I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades as well as many small groups in RTI; K-7th grades.

I graduated from Central High School in La Crosse in 1992, and got my teaching degree from Viterbo University in 1998. My husband, Ryan, works as an engineer at Trane Company in LaCrosse, and I have two daughters. Kennedy is seventeen and is in 12th grade and Kinley is 14 and starting 9th grade in Spring Grove.

In my spare time, I am with my family, sometimes biking or kayaking, or just riding around town in our golf cart!  I enjoy exercising, doing puzzles, and crocheting  in my free time.  I also love to read every single night before bed! Much of my time is spent taking care of my many pets too: Finnigan: my dog, Valentine and Piper: my cats, Spaz:my bearded dragon, and Pikachu:my cockatiel. The summer has been a wonderful time to reflect and get my energy back for the upcoming tasks at MC school. I know it'll be another wonderful and successful school year; not only for me but for my students as well!
