Hello! I'm Mrs. Horihan. I'm excited to be back for my second year at Mabel-Canton!

I live near Lanesboro with my husband, Kevin; and our three children, Liam (10), Fiona (9), and Rafe (7). Some of my favorite things include running and biking on the Root River Trail, reading and listening to books, listening to live music, gardening, spending time on our farm, taking photos, and staying informed on local news.

I graduated from Mabel-Canton High School and earned my BA from Winona State University in Mass Communication-Journalism. During my first career, I worked as a journalist for the Post-Bulletin in Rochester. Most recently, I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from St. Mary's University. In 2019, I worked as a High School Special Education teacher in Lanesboro.

Teaching high school English has long been a dream of mine and it's very humbling to teach in a community that I once called home. I'm excited to share my life experiences with my students. This year, I will also be teaching a high school art elective and elementary art. I can't wait to see what our kids create this year!

If you have questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact me before or after school at (507) 493-5422, ext. 253.
