UPDATE: School Board Approved 9.19.23 Mabel-Canton Schools COVID Information School and Extracurricular Participation If your Child is Positive for COVID-19 ● Stay home for 5 days. (day symptoms start/day positive test taken) ○ If you have no symptoms or your symptoms (ex: fever free for 24 hours) are resolving on Day 6, you can return to school ■ It is recommended (not required) to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days Thank you for helping to keep our school community safe. (Day 0 is the day symptoms start/day positive test taken) ○ Then on Day 5, test and if negative come to school ■ If positive, EITHER wear a mask at school/extracurricular for 5 days OR stay home an additional 5 days. NOTE: Learning from home through distance learning will continue to be offered when a student is home for COVID related absences. Keeping our students and staff in school with in-person learning is our top priority; however, we cannot stress enough that if your child has symptoms, please keep them at home. Possible symptoms include: Fever Muscle or body aches Congestion or runny nose Cough Headache Nausea or vomiting Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing New loss of taste or smell Diarrhea Fatigue Sore throat Thank you for helping to keep our school community safe.
