Students and Parents,
Dan Bieberdorf and Jake Dahl teach the Driver's Education program and will be offering 30-hour classroom training sessions in Rushford and Houston this year for students wanting to get their driver's permit. There will be two in-person classes taught in 2026: Class #1 in Rushford (Feb/March) and Class #2 in Houston (Oct/Nov). Students must be at least 14 years old to take a class, and you do not have to be a student at R-P or Houston to attend. Each course includes a special Parent Class (optional) and ten 3-hour student classes that each student will need to attend, as well as a make-up date for anyone who has to miss part or all of one of the classes. In addition to the in-person classroom sessions in Houston and Rushford, we are now able to offer an online option for those who are not able to attend one of these. We understand that some families need greater flexibility due to busy schedules, so you can use this form to request more information about the fully online class if interested.

Houston- Oct/Nov 2026
Specific dates for the Houston class are not set yet, but we are planning to offer the class after MEA (mid/late Oct) and finish before the start of winter sports (early Nov), with the goal being to avoid any conflicts with fall or winter sports. We will email the families as soon as the specific dates are finalized.
Online Class Option: We encourage families to sign up for an in-person class if at all possible, as we feel it provides the optimal experience for students to learn the information and best prepares them for taking the Knowledge Test. With that being said, we do have an online option for those students who need more flexibility and who are not able to attend in-person classes.
